I had an amazing time at this hostel! The rooftop pool and bar were definite highlights, and the staff welcomed me with warmth and a smile. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach, though I wish the dorms had a little more space. Overall, it's a great value for money!

Masaya is a beautiful and comfortable hostel that truly offers an immersion into Colombian culture. With two pools, great food, and excellent activities like dance classes and pool parties, I really enjoyed my stay. However, some staff members seemed a bit slow, and the food didn't quite match up to local street food standards.

My stay at Masaya in Santa Marta was wonderful overall! The hostel is a fantastic base for exploring the area, with clean and comfortable accommodations. I especially loved the helpful staff who went above and beyond to assist us. However, the lack of guaranteed dorm arrangements for groups and some issues with the kitchen facilities were minor downsides during my stay.

My stay was absolutely wonderful, featuring clean and comfortable private rooms that come with fantastic air conditioning. The swimming pools were a highlight too, offering a peaceful escape from the city bustle. I loved the views while playing pool, and the bar staff really made it special. Although the breakfast was just okay compared to other places I've tried in Colombia, it didn't take away from the overall great value. I truly appreciated the help from Susan and Liliana, who made me feel welcome despite my struggles with Spanish.

I had a great time at Masaya, a hip hostel with a cool rooftop vibe perfect for hanging out. The dorms were spacious and the beds comfy. However, I did miss having hot showers, and the bathrooms were on the smaller side. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, but the constant cab drivers outside can be a bit overwhelming.
